Puppies and Breeding

Our Breeding Philosophy

We breed our dogs occasionally with the goal of preserving what we feel is the "perfect breed." In recent years, we have bred about a litter a year and produced excellent get by returning to the foundations we cherish. We feel that the concept of breed improvement implies an evolution into something different, into a new breed with different attributes. While we plan breedings that accentuate the finest qualities vizslas possess, we are not particularly interested in in developing another breed. Instead, we prefer to embrace the concept of "live improvement", which means, to us, producing succeeding generations of vizslas that each get closer and closer to the original ideal embodied in our standards, collective memories, and pictorial records. We will continue to selectively breed dogs that reflect the breed standard and the fine history of the breed.

We happily place puppies in loving homes that cherish the temperament, intelligence, grace, natural instincts, and versatility of the breed. We require several visits to evaluate prospective families. In turn, we provide ongong support and advice to new puppy owners and welcome them into our extended vizsla and human family. We encourage families to participate in AKC events. Please contact us with inquiries about our upcoming litters.
